Deidre Lizaiaba * Seraph

*A compressive compendium of the many faces of D'eiderah Lizaiaba *

Hello! And welcome to this Carrd! So, what's going on? The gist is that I wanted a place to explain each of my characters, as I assign each of my jobs a separate story. With that being said you can give one of the other tabs a click to learn about that job's associated character. The top of the page will list the name or nickname the character uses, as well as their pronouns, sexuality, and age. Below that will be a short paragraph or so of backstory. At the end of each backstory is also the character's full name, in case you were wondering.

D'eiderah - She/Her - Bisexual - 23

D'eidrerah Hitoshi, though born somewhere in Eorzea, moved to Kugane at a young age, where she was raised under the roof of the Doman samurai Hitoshi Akane. Here she was taught the way taught not only the way of the samurai, but a great deal of wisdom she now carries with her wherever she goes, and an appreciation for the arts. After learning she had family there, she now travels Eorzea. Though she would describe her profession as "wandering samurai" this is in no way a real job. She finds work instead as a small time weaver, she's still working on actually getting good at the task but it makes enough gil to fund her wandering in search of evil to excise, as well as her quest to find what remains of her family in Eorzea. Her full name is Hitoshi, though she often writes it out as "Deidre" as she finds that more aesthetically pleasing. It is also far fewer characters in Hingan script.

C'era - She/They - Lesbian - 21

Once an Ishgardian lowborn loyal to the Holy See, C'era was declared a heretic after trying and failing to prevent the execution of the last person she could call family, a temple knight by the name of Aedan. Seeing the supposed great nation cut down one of it's own simply for trying to suggest diplomacy with Lady Iceheart's heretics, C'era was forced out of the city into the cold of Coerthas. She would eventually find refuge in Gridania. With hatred growing in her heart she would take up the greatsword, attempting to recreate the fighting style of the "Dark Knights" she had heard of in legend as a young girl. She makes a living as a small time mercenary, her hatred for Ishgard only growing as she would come to learn that the fabled "Warrior of Light" was praised and celebrated for the very thing her closest companion was executed for.Due to being an orphan, her full name is C'era Myste. Her first name was decided arbitrarily, as she doesn't know from which Miqo'te clan she actually originates

Liz - She/Her - Pansexual - 29

For almost as long as she can remember, Liz has held a gunblade. Drafted into the Garlean military swiftly after the Empire conquered her small Miqo'te tribe, Liz swiftly and regrettably rose through the ranks. Although Liz cannot be proud of what she's done in the Emperor's name, she can at the very least be happy with the life she would lead after the fact. One fateful encounter with The Maelstrom of Limsa Lominsa left Liz the only surviving member of her centuriae. After a brief period of imprisonment, the Storm found that Liz harbored absolutely no loyalty towards Garlemald and subsequently set her free. Of her own volition, Liz joined up with the Maelstrom as a way of saying thanks. She now lives a mostly carefree life in Limsa, where she studies the way of the Gunbreaker, learning the real history and origin of the weapon the Empire had bastardized. In between her studies and Maelstrom obligations, she finds time to explore the many venues in Mist or gamble her life savings away at the Gold Saucer. She does not remember her original name, as after she was drafted she received the Garlean name Lizbeth aan Amabilia, she figures it is likely something along the lines of L'sebth, but chooses to just go by Liz, since it's easier.

Hyde - She/Her - Bisexual - 32

Born and raised in Sharlayan, Hyde always knew she wanted to use the power of science to better the world. After many long years at the Studium she received her doctorate. Now that she'd gotten all of the boring stuff out of the way, she figured it was time for some major changes to how we approach medicine. Her initial pitches to simply share advancements in medicine and magic with the rest of the world were shot down, so she assumed she simply wasn't thinking big enough. Long story short, she now finds herself obsessed with body modification to make the people of Hydaelyn stronger, hardier, or just different really. The outcome isn't quite important to her, what is important is that she has the power to alter a living, thinking being, to take hold of it's flesh and reform it in her own image. Though she primarily performed these experiments on herself, hiding the results of these experiments with copious amounts of glamour prisms, she would eventually find herself experimenting on a willing subject who knew most of the risks of the experiment. When that experiment ended up killing him well, that was just plain bad luck, one of her associates walking in the moment it happened, even worse luck. Now shunned by the greater scientific community, Hyde searches for a place to continue her research. In the meantime she makes a living as a musician, which she's fairly decent at.Though she goes by Hyde, this is actually a nickname given to her by her remaining friends after the whole being outed as a mad scientist incident. Her real name is J'kal Hymnia, she doesn't know why her friends call her Hyde, but thinks it sounds cool enough to not really care about the why in this situation.

CHARACTER UNDER CONSTRUCTION

R'iumi - She/He - Lesbian - 22

R'iumi's father, R'soto Tia, was once the cook on board the Haar, the ship of the dread pirate Rycharde Mistbeard. R'iumi holds a personal grudge against both Mistbeard and the League of Lost Bastards, as her father was killed in the Battle of Bloodshore. She currently works as both a culinarian and mercenary in Limsa Lominsa, where he hopes to eventually bring to light the hypocrisy of the relatively newly formed Lominsan government and receive some form of recompense for the murder of his father. The only thing truly in R'iumi's way is her frequent bouts of hopeless romanticism causing her to frequently disregard her life's mission in favor of fleeting romance and flings that end up nowhere. It's also worth noting that because her father was a Tia, she isn't a purebred Seeker of the Sun, her mother is in fact a Keeper of the Moon by the name of Neva Zazi. Though her specific biological makeup does not have an officially recognized name, she prefers to call herself a "Chaser of the Dusk"R'iumi's full name is R'iumi Soto-Zazi, but she also is occasionally referred to simply as "Smoker" or "Red Legs" in some mercenary circles due to her frankly unhealthy smoking habits and refusal to fight with her hands respectively. Those outside of mercenary circles however have given her the nickname "Chaser" both on account of the name she made up for her species and her tendency to obsess over women.
